A composition by the contemporary Estonian composer, written for violin, bassoon, baritone saxophone and synthesizer for the Canadian ensemble ‘Sound Pressure’.

The subtitle is related to the dramatic line of the piece: a gracious pseudo-classical cadenza (containing reminiscences from Mozart’s ‘Violin Concerto K.219) leads, instead of the expected resolution in the triad of the principle key, in to a macabre fortissimo cluster on synthesizer, with sarcastic overtone glissando’s on amplified saxophone. With it’s postmodern ‘double coding’ (‘music about music’) this piece makes an exception in Tüür’s output. It also has been described by him in a visualizing way, unusual for his commentaries – and by truly ‘architectural’ terms:
‘…a decorated gate in the rococo style opening into a metal subway radiating alternately heat and cold’
